Hit-and-run driver who killed toddler in Stockton sought -- Authorities across Northern California Monday night were searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed a three-year-old child in Stockton earlier in day.

 

Police said it appeared two women were having an argument outside a convenience store when one of the women jumped into a car.

It was not clear if that woman or another person was driving. Witnesses said the car looked as if it was deliberately trying to run down a group of people.

Those people were able to get out of the way, but the child was struck and killed.

"It makes me mad the baby died," said one witness. "She had nothing to do with it. I feel like crying myself."

Police said the child's mother was inside the convenience store when the child was hit. ( ktvu.com )
